What Causes Numbness In The Body?

Last year I had left side numbness from my head to my feet. I have been to many different Neurologist and they cannot find whereas I had a stroke, It started on the left side of my face of tingling, then my two fingers and toes. I had a pain in the fatty part of my arm and then all went limped. I have been in an out of the hospital since August of last year. I have been to physical therapy. etc. I have taken all kinds of meds and nothing seems to work. My doctor sent me to a surgeon to remove my thyroid because the nodule has grown but no one has ever treated it. I am a diabetic with high cholesterol and hypertension. I was all under control and I was doing fine until August 2016. I hit me all of a sudden and I have been having problems with it since. Night sweats, fatigue, severe pain, problems walking at times some days worse than others. I have been under a lot of stress since April 25, 2016. I also take medications for depression and have been for a very long time. Whatever is going on with me now has taken a toll on my lifestyle. Can you help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per my clinical experience this sounds to be from various possible issues as
@ Neuropathy from long standing diabetes
@ Stress associated cerebral changes
@ Deficiency of trace elements, micro nutrients as folate, Vitamin B12, magnesium and so forth
@ Viral lesions of the CNS and PNS through neuronal amines mediated pathways

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
