What Causes Numbness In Leg?

This past week upon waking, I feel that my legs are non-responsive. I must sit on the edge of the bed for awhile before attempting to get up. This morning I got up without sitting up for awhile, I stood on my left but when I tried to walk my right leg was useless. I felt it turn inward at the knee and then I collapsed as it was non responsive. My blood pressure is controlled. I have no real health problems other than osteo--arthritis of the hips. I m 57 year old male, non-smoker non-drinker. My mother suffered a stroke at 70. This is my concern.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you might be having neuropathy. it can cause weakness and tingling and also cause difficulty in walking some time. I would recommend you to get your serum B 12 estimation and also blood sugar level. If there is low serum B 12 than you can start taking Pregabalin and Methylcobal tablet daily. You can also start eating green leafy vegetables. I do not think that you are having symptoms of stroke at present.
