What Causes Numbness In Fingers?

I have had this happen to me twice now..... My first finger on my right hand, the tip of my finger from my knuckle to the end, all of a sudden turns white and goes numb. It lasts about 20 minutes and eventually the color comes back slowly. I don t have any other symptoms when this happens.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a cervical spine abnormality like prolapsed disc. Detailed evaluation is required to find out the exact cause. Consult a neurologist and get evaluated, you have to get an MRI brain for confirmation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
