What Causes Numbness In Face And Right Hand And Leg After 10 Hour Flight?

Hi I have recently returned from India Tuesday 25/2/14 after a 10 hour flight and have been experiencing numbness and tingling down my right side. Mostly in my right hand but I am also noticing strange sensations in the right side of my face and right foot. I wasn t overly concerned at first but the feeling has not gone away. I think it may have become more noticable. What do you think could be the cause of this? or what could it be realted to and should I be worried? kind regards Caroline Ementon

Thanks for posting your query .

Numbness of one particular side of the body is either due to Neurological problem or due to Posture related problem .

If at all you had slept during your flight completely on your right side it could have compressed your nerves and caused Numbness . This is most likely in your case .

Other possibility is a minor stroke causing the numbness .

My advise is to wait for few more days and if numbness persists consult a neurologist.
