What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Arms And Legs?

I recently had what I believe to be a pinched nerve in my neck. I didn t go to the doctor, but waited for it to subside. After a couple of weeks, it did go away, but I was left instead with numbness, tingling and weakness in my arm and leg on the same side where my pinched nerve was. This is related to a car accident I was in several years ago, but the lingering numbness and tingling and, especially, the weakness is a new and troubling symptom. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to nerve compression at cervical spine level.

For that you may require MRI neck, nerve conduction studies after Neurophysician consultation.

Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

Continue physical therapy.

Take balanced diet

Hope I have answered your query and let me know if I can assist you further.
