What Causes Numbness And Sharp Pain In Right Thigh?
Hi my right thigh has been becoming numb for the past two months now and more recently it goes numb at night and I'm unaware because I'm sleeping so then when I move positions I get these very sharp prickly pains almost like something is tearing inside my leg. I don't where know where the numbness came from, it just started one day.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have numbness and sharp pain in right thigh. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like osteoarthritis , rheumatoid arthritis , gout , ankylosing spondylitis , compressed fracture of vertibrae or sciatica . I would suggest you to loose your weight by doing light exercises like yoga and altering your eating habits , apply warm compresses to thigh and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan along with MRI to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may recommend surgery for compressed fracture , prescribe nerve supplement , anti inflammatory or muscle relaxant . Doctor may also recommend physical therapy aong with light stretching exercises .
