What Causes Sharp Pain In The Right Ear, Scalp And Jaw?

I have recently begun to have sharp twinges of intense pain in my right ear, scalp and jaw. It also causes an involuntary jerk. This is very sudden and brief. Happens about every 5 to 10 seconds. I also have numbness in my arm on the same side at times.

Hello,

This can be due to neuralgia where the pain is sharp, intense and lasts for few seconds to minutes.

As you mention that you feel numbness on the side indicates a problem in nerves.

In neuralgia either nerve is damaged, compressed or infected from various causes like blood pressure, tumour, herpes infection etc.

All you need to do is to consult a physician and get yourself checked by an oral medicine specialist as well.

So that proper cause can be identified and you can be accordingly treated.

You may need drug therapy for some time or other rehabilitative procedures in the oral cavity as well as missing teeth restoration, correction of occlusion.
