What Causes Nose Bleeds In A Person With Intracerebral Haemorrhage?

I woke up with a nose bleed today. I ve never had a nose bleed. I am concerned because I was hit by a car two months ago as a pedestrian. I had a concussion as well as a left temporal hematoma and my medical paperwork said ICH..... I did my research and I guess that means intracerebral hemmorage. Should I be worried that I am bleeding now?

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have nose bleeds with previous history of intra cerebral hemorrhage . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like Infection , trauma , allergic and non-allergic rhinitis , hypertension and use of blood thinning medications . There can be other conditions also like nasal polyp , but it doesn't seems to me that the bleeding is due to ICH . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor order nasal endoscopy , CT scan and take history . Doctor may prescribe anti histamine , antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) or may recommend surgery in case nasal polyp . For now apply warm compresses on nose and take benadryl twice a day .
