What Causes Nose Bleeding?

I have nose bleeds frequently. Today it wouldn t stop until I pulled/blew a clot out of my nose. Then the bleeding stopped. This isn t the first time and it doesn t happen this way every time. Nosebleeds have been happening for years, from occasionally moving to frequently the last couple of years. Now clots are happening. My doctors haven t been alarmed, offering nothing except slight coating of bacitracin ointment for 2 weeks before bed. This does stop them for longer periods. Any ideas?

Hello,

Kindly do few things before you remove a clot from your nose. You need to wet that area always with clean water and soften it slowly so that it comes to your hand.

Rather than that if you start pulling it up then it takes away the upper lining of the nose also along with that and finally, there will be left a raw area which hurts a lot and again scab forms or the bleeding occurs and again the vicious cycle starts.

So, to avoid this kindly do exactly how I said then you will see clot won't be back again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
