What Causes Neck Pain And Itchy Red Rashes On The Torso?

Symptons started on Saturday with neck pain(thought it was just pulled muscle) Monday woke up with sinus headache. Went to walk in clinic thinking it was a sinus infection, but they said it was not and prescribed flonase, claritan and musinex. I went home and took nyquil instead of the other medicines and went to bed. Woke up in the middle of night with red rash on torso extremely itchy and hot to touch. The headache has not returned but the rash is still there. Taking benedryl does relieve the itching.

Hello,

The rash may be due to drug allergy or due to Viral fever with a headache.

Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

Drink plenty of water use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

Apply Moisturex cream locally, use cap Doxycycline according to the body weight twice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
