What Causes Neck Pain After Having A Surgery On Nasal Septum?

Hi, I had a surgery on the nasal septum (18.03.2015)After 1 week I felt a pain in the neck ( at the supraclavicular fossa) and have this during 8 monthes. Also I have problems with my eyes. One pupil is larger in diameter than the other (anisocoria).

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is unrelated to your nasal septum surgery. It may be due to positioning for surgery like prolonged extended posture.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists an MRI neck may be required to rule out possible causes like cervical spondylitis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
