Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Im 59 (male) in good health...I ve been feeling nauseous lately for no reason that I know of. Not feverish or ill feeling at all, just get waves of nausea that come over me throughout the day. They pass, I m not throwing up, but I sure feel like I want to. Feels kind of like when you take a vitamin on an empty stomach. Any thoughts?
Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM. Nausea may arise from several different conditions including pathology involving the gi tract, liver, GB, pancreas, renal, internal ear and so on. Even there are cases where psychogenic cause or medication use cause nausea. A detailed history with clinical examination and relevant investigations including imaging may be necessary for further evaluation and treatment. My recommendation is to consult your local physician at the earliest for early diagnosis and prompt treatment. For any further query please write back to us. Regards. Dr. Kaushik
