I have just refilled my hydrocodone prescription....but it has changed. This has been added on the label. Generic equivalent for HYDROCO/ACETA...and the prescription price has halved. They don t seem to be working for my arthritis pain...and I am getting a lot of nausia. Can you explain to me what the difference is?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here are my thoughts.

Hydrocodone is known to give giddiness, nausea, vomiting and be less effective if procured from Pharma that has not given the purest of the forms.
Hence you will have to return the present stock and ask for the old brand so that your problems are solved.
Take an opinion of an Orthopedic Surgeon for Arthritis, go for relevant blood tests, MRI of the affected joints.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
