What Causes Nausea, Headache And Stomach Upset After Learning Swimming?
hello doctor.i have been learning swimming since 2 months now.i have a morning shift .due to which i dont have a fixed time for eating food.n i even skipped meals.from 3 days i am not going to my swimming class because i am not feeling well.the first day i felt nausea so i didnt go to swim.but the condition worsened after that.i am having headache since then.its 3 days now.the headache is more on the right side and also i am having pain on the right side of my nose and right eye.even my stomach is upset.my family says its because of acidity.can you please tell..thank you waiting for your reply

Based on the history you have shared, with the history of pools exposure and current symptoms two possibilities should be ruled out.
One is chlorinated water exposure as at times it can cause such symptoms or other cleansing agents may cause chemical exposure-related issues.
Other rare but nigleria possibility should be ruled out. In any case, systemic infections should be ruled out.
Baseline blood workup, and if needed brain imaging may also be needed. Medical specialist or infectious diseases specialist should be consulted and a detailed examination is a must and shouldn't be ignored.
