What Causes Nausea And Lack Of Appetite Despite Taking Metronidazole?

I was diagnosed with diverticulitis on Wednesday and after taking meds Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I felt OK. However Saturday and Sunday have not been good at all. I. Fact today it has been worse than it has in long time. I have hardly eaten anything as I am nauseous and don t have much of an appetite. I am on Capri which I have taken before with no problems. I am also on metronidazole which I feel is making me sick.....I have stopped taking this. My last dose as this am. Is it common to feel worse after 3 1/2 days of meds

usually metronidazole is known to cause nausea. anyway nothing to worry as you have already stopped metronidazole. you may feel better as time goes. if you are not having any signs of diverticulitis you can wait and watch for starting other antibiotics.

usually metronidazole is known to cause nausea. anyway nothing to worry as you have already stopped metronidazole. you may feel better as time goes. if you are not having any signs of diverticulitis you can wait and watch for starting other antibiotics. thanking you
