What Causes Nausea And Insomnia After Taking Bactrim?
Hi I was prescribed Bactrim for a urinary tract infection. I took a dose Wednesday evening, I took another dose yesterday at around 1 p.m. and started feeling nauseous only in the evening last night I took another dose before I went to bed but I was up all night feeling sick to my stomach and so I was having trouble sleeping. When I woke up around 11 o clock this morning I felt better and then I took another dose of the Bactrim and I m feeling sick again after about an hour two of taking it could this antibiotic be making me feel nauseous and a little spacey in the head?

Antibiotics commonly cause gastrointestinal side effects unfortunately. These are the most common side effects that occur with most antibiotics.
It is not an allergic reaction to the medication but an effect that can occur with use of the medication.
The use of probiotics sometimes decreases this effect. They can be used on their own or with yogurts.
If the effects are intolerable , however, your doctor can give you an alternative medication
