Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Depo provera injection leads to menstrual irregularities and absence of periods for a long time.
The brownish discharge can be due to depo provera injection.
However, I would suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done and if negative, then do consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated( ultrasound and hormonal profile) and get appropriate treatment.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
