What Causes Nausea After Drinking Alcohol?

So, I had one drink on Friday night, and I am feeling very nauseous still, 2 days later. I am not sure if this is why I am feeling like this, but I don t know what else it could be. I have never had a reaction like this after 1,2 or even 3 drinks.. I feel like I am going to throw up every second. I did throw up quite a bit on Friday night when I came home, (forcefully) to try and feel better.. after my 2nd purge, the throw up started to taste like acid or pure poison.... I didn t throw up yesterday, but did so again today (forcefully). Also, nothing is helping. Gravol, Ginger Ale, Water....there s also no possibility that I could be pregnant. What is going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Heavy drinking can cause inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis), ulcer in esophagus & stomach, and acid reflux causing heartburn. You are having nausea mostly because of irritation of stomach mucosa (gastritis). Alcohol has now completely washed out from your body but it has caused damage to your stomach mucosa. It will heal in few days.
Advice
1.     Omeprazole 20 mg once daily per oral empty stomach for 7 days
2.     Domperidone 10 mg per oral when you feel nausea
3.     Avoid alcohol, smoking, spicy food, and non-steroidal pain killer for few days
I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question
Thanks
