i have a nagging congestion it dont affect my breathing. i can breath thru my nose fine. it stays in back of my throat. builds up and i have to clear it out constantly. ive taken anti biotics but nothing has helped. also my tongue stays coated and discolored.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of nagging cough in throat which seems to be due to chest infection/ chronic upper respiratory tract infection.
Need not to worry. Coating on tongue occurs mainly post use of antibiotic course, so maintain proper oral hygiene for the same.
I would suggest you to
- Do warm saline gargles and take steam inhalation.
If symptoms keeps on persisting visit pulmonologist and get evaluated and get chest xray, blood tests, Immunoglobulin G levels done which can help in proper diagnosis and treatment.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
