What Causes Muscle Spasms, Short Term Memory Loss And Weakness In The Body?

My daughter has a collection of new symptoms that are very concerning. She is having muscle spasms/twitching daily, some short term memory loss, sudden loss of grip strength that comes back and she will fall asleep suddenly. She is being treated with cabergoline for a pituitary adenoma and been on it for about 20 months. No other medications. She also has a benign thyroid nodule (negative FNA). She is scheduled for a follow-up MRI in December.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Because of her history of pituitary adenoma, your daughter should let her doctor know immediately for any changes especially neurological symptoms as it is happening in this case. It is good she is scheduled for a routine follow-up but she needs to let the doctor know of the recent changes as soon as possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
