I have been having muscle spasms below my rib cage usually on the left side but occasionally on the right side for well over a year now. The spasms usually happen when I am bending or reaching. Often there is a series of spasms in a row. I have to stand or lie flat to help them go away. I have had to get out of my car to stand and stretch during a spasm. The spasms are moderate to severe in pain. I occasionally have bouts of diarrhea, but eat a lot of salads. I feel pretty healthy otherwise.
