What Causes Muscle Pain In Shoulder And Anxiety While On Cubicin?
My husband has been taking cubicin through IV and now pic line for a total of 10 days. He is experiencing muscle pains in his shoulders, arms, and back. He is also suffering from bouts of anxiety. From what I have read, this seems to be normal side effects of taking this drug. It was prescribed by his Dr. to treat infection from a surgical incision. Should we contact the Dr. to see if anything should be changed? We don t have an appt. until next Thursday.

The symptoms of your husband seem to be related to the common side effects of cubicin. I recommend using anti-inflammatory medications to relieve the pain such as Ibuprofen 400 mg tree tablet a day.
I also recommend him to rest. If the symptoms continue you should consult your doctor.
