Hello. There is a 13 yr old boy who is complaining of severe muscle pain and is unable to straighten out his arms. His shoulders are positioned up to his ears and he is walking as though he has been in a car crash. Initial test results show he has a CPK level of 19000+ and 3 days later it is down to 17000+ after being given Sodium Bicarb and Potassium Chloride infusions. Also an xray shows calcium deposits on his right shoulder. This is a child who has always been athletic and played sports and lifted weights. This is a sudden onset. What could be wrong with him.
