General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Yes, it's normal to experience some mucus discharge after placing a stent in the ureter, especially after a kidney stone removal procedure. The stent is used to help urine drain appropriately from the kidney to the bladder, and the discharge can result from irritation to the urethral or bladder tissues caused by the presence of the stent. If you experience heavy bleeding or severe discomfort, it's best to contact your healthcare provider for further evaluation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
