What Causes Mouth Ulcers After A Throat Infection?
I have sores all over the inside of my mouth and they are excrutiatingly painful. It started with a sore throat and soreness on my left cheek by my teeth, now the sores have spread all over my the inside of my mouth and are on the roof, the sides of my inner cheeks, the edge of my tongue and my gums. The sides of my cheeks are inflamed and swollen so it's easy to bite them when I talk or eat. I've been given painkillers and a mouth spray but they do not seem to be disappearing. I'm 25 female.

hello thanks for consulting at hcm..it could be viral infection caused by herpes virus,,it could also be due to recurrent apthous ulcers,, either way do salt water gargle thrice daily,,apply topical anesthetic adn antiviral will act only if given immediately after the first appearance of the lesion,,it is self limiting will heal by 5-7 days,,blow air so cheeks dont touch the teeth margins,,do take a consult with oral physician,,hope it helps,,tc
