What Causes Mild Cramps On Hip After Undergoing Embryo Transfer?

Hi. Currently going through ivf. Had embryo transfer on Monday. Have experienced small cramps however most prominent cramping is on right side of hips. Pain very similar to my usual mid menstual cycle cramping that lasts for three days normally. Have spoken to nurses at clinic who could not give me an answer.

Hello and welcome.

If you are undergoing IVF, then I am sure you should have received a certain number of medications orally and in the injected form that should help to make you more fertile to help make conception more likely. The cause for the cramps could most probably be these very medication or the process of conception itself. I do not think there is anything to worry about.

Best wishes
