What Causes Mid Abdominal Pain In A Child?

My daughter has mid abdominal pain that goes from the belly button and radiates to the right side. She has not felt well for a couple of days and we have a doctor appt. tomorrow but if it is more serious, I may need to go to ER tonight? Pain in the abdomen just started today

Pain on the right side of the abdomen may sometimes be related to appendicitis though there are other causes as well.

Appendicitis also causes fever, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting. If she does not have any additional symptoms, it is not as likely though would still have to be ruled out.

If the pain is mild, she is still active, normal appetite and no additional symptoms then it is possible that you can wait .
If the symptoms are severe or you are unsure, then she should be seen.
