Hi, Metallic smell in urine indicates possible infection with pseudomonas. Bacterial infection is most commonly associated with hospital environment. Urinary tract infections are usually present with burning micturition, urine frequency and urgency. If the infection is severe enough, there may be fever. The symptoms are less shown in diabetic who are prone for infection and with neuropathy. Blood and urine investigations help to rule out the possible pathology behind urine with odor.
