General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thyroid hormone is important for the function of many cells in our body and for the brain cells as well.
Some patients with low thyroid function may have problems with memory as part of the symptoms they experience.

Sometimes problems with memory happen from other causes as well. If the problems with the memory are due to the low thyroid function, then adding Levothyroxine should improve it.
If no improvement of it with treatment for the thyroid then very likely it is due to other causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
