What Causes Macrocytic Anemia?

Im 27 male tsh is 6.5 T3 and T4 normal anti tpo antibody 136 . CBC shows mild macrocytic anemia. Mcv is 100.4 mch 35.1. But hemoglobin is 16.3 and rbc count is 4600 where as normal range is above 4700. Is this anemia due to hypothyroidism or panicious anemia. What are the risks in the future. For hypothyroidism doctor told me to wait for 2 months and check tsh again. I m scared that I have these two auto immune diseases at young age.

Hello,

Looks like pernicious anemia . Did they start you on vitamin B12 and folic acid for the same ? you should start these supplements and also may be the starting dose for thyroid hormone that is 12.5 mcg and repeat the tests again after 6 weeks .

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
