What Causes Lumps Under The Skin On The Shaft Of The Penis?

I have developed hard nodules under the skin of my penis in the area between the head and the shaft. I have been told they are cysts, and I get them on my head as well. In addition to the cysts, the veins around the cysts seem to be hardened as well, and somewhat inflamed and tender to touch. They are at the point where I can t stand any friction on that area under the head of my penis, making sex nearly impossible. Can these be removed? Is there anything I can do at home to help bring the swelling down?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

First of all, you should get evaluated to see what kind of bump or cyst it is. You should get checked for sexually transmitted diseases and take the right treatment. If it is a cyst as you are saying, surgical treatment is needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
