Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 8 year old daughter has a tender lump behind her right nipple... I first noticed it a few months ago and took her to see the GP who said it was nothing to worry about but to keep an eye on it. It reduced in size and pain but has come back again and looks larger now and she says it is tender. Should i be worried?

What Causes Lump Behind Nipple Of A Child?
Hi, It is a very common hormonal change which occurs physiologically in this age group and sometimes it can be bilateral also. Do not worry about this. If there is sudden increase in redness or pain or swelling or tenderness along with high grade fever then it requires medical attention. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Sumanth Amperayani, Pediatrician, Pulmonology
