What Causes Lower Backache And Anal Fissure?

I HAVE HAD TWO PROCEDURES TO RECTIFY AN ANAL ABSCESS, THIS HAS NOW DEVELOPED INTO A FISSURE, I WILL BE HAVING SURGERY IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS BUT HAVE ALSO BEEN EXPERIENCING SEVERE LOWER BACK PAIN WHICH RADIATES ROUND TO THE LOWER RIGHT ABDOMEN AND INSIDE THE GROIN AREA DOWN THE LEG. COULD THIS BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRESENCE OF THE ANAL FISSURE ? THANKYOU

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

Yes, the pain you are feeling on lower back radiating round to the lower right abdomen and inside the groin area down the leg could be related to the anal fissure.

However, it also sounds like sciatica pain, so an X-ray of lower back would rule it out.
Take pain killers to reduce the pain.
Wish fast recovery.
