What Causes Lower Back Pain While On Bactrim For UTI?

I have been on Bactrim DS for 5 days for a UTI. The dosage was 2 pills twice a day for 5 days but today I started having lower back b pain. Is this from the Bactrim or should I be concerned it has moved to my kidneys? I have no other symptoms, uti symptoms completely gone. No nausea, vomiting or fever.

Hi,

I can understand your concern for your symptoms,
Bactrim DS won't be causing backache
It can be:
-Urinary tract infection (UTI) causing referred pain
-Renal calculi
-Spondylitis
-Calcium deficiency.

Kindly do an MRI or CT spice and Ultrasound abdomen for diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
