Hello,
Since your attending Physician has examined you and arrived at 'diverticulosis' thus he must have given due consideration in arriving at such diagnosis, and because I'm unable to examine you directly, following is my opinion:
1. Consult an orthopedic surgeon regarding hip discomfort since it could be because of
hip osteoarthritis, AVN [avascular necrosis], DVT [deep vein thrombosis], PVD [peripheral vascular disorder],
nerve irritation [ X-ray LS-spine, MRI for any nerve impingement or narrowing to exclude sciatica] or simply because of cramps in calf [due to
diabetes, calcium or salt deficiency], who might ask for investigations like Hb%, WBC, ESR, C- reactive protein, RA test, and X-Ray Hip.
2. The symptoms have to be carefully assessed by your doctor to ensure that whether it requires immediate medical attention or long-term therapy since pain could be due to a problem with the circulatory/
lymphatic system or with the kidneys, and along with medicines continued
physical therapy could be advised.
Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Munish Sood
