Hi

I can not see the date you have asked this question . Any how

This could be a normal periods pain , if you are around the normal menstrual cycle. The intrauterine contraceptive devices sometimes have some effects on the normal menstrual periods, like pain , excessive or prolonged bleeding /periods .

These devices are sometimes also associated with mild infection which may give you pain in lower abdomen and generalized body pains including leg pains.

Also could be due to malposition of the device.

The chances of ectopic pregnancies also increased with the intrauterine device and ectopic pregnancy associated with lower abdominal pain .

At this time you may use some simple analgesics like paracetamol or ibuprofen .

If the pain is increased in intensity or you develop any other symptoms inspite of using the pain killer then you can contact me for further advice .

Thank you
