What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain, Heartburn And Spotting?

Last week Tuesday I had a dark brown stain on my underwear, it went away, this Monday I had a pink tinge on the toilet paper when I wiped, it only happened once through out the day, yesterday it happened again but a little more red than pink, it happened twice during the day, today it happened again, I am having a little pain on my lower abdomen and I woke up with really bad heartburn, all pg tests are negative. What could this be?

If you are sexually active, this could be a missed pregnancy or could be a manifestation of PID (pelvic inflammatory disease). If I were your doctor, I would advise a serum HCG test and an ultrasound abdomen if need be to rule out a missed pregnancy or any pelvic pathology, a urine test (routine/microscopic/culture sensitivity test), a complete blood count, and a vaginal swab for culture and sensitivity test. Management would depend on the result of a physical examination, and related investigations.
