What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain , Headache And Cough?
I m a 46 year old woman. I ve have been menstruating on and off (mostly on) for 2 months. I have lower abdomen pain and some rectal pressure that seems to increase at night. I m also sweating when I sleep...waking up damp. Is it menopause or something else? Those areas I mentioned hurt when I cough (i have a cold right now). I also have a headache and that hurts more when I cough.
Hi, The headache you have is more likely due to the cold you are experiencing right now. Sinus involvement often causes headaches that worsen with exertion. The sweating is more likely due to estrogen deficiency as part of perimenopause, also called 'hot flush.' Since you are experiencing some menstrual disturbance as seen by your irregular menstruation in the recent times, you need to get investigated properly. Any pressure exerting growths of the uterus, prolapse and so on can cause rectal pressure, especially with a retroverted uterus. Hope this helps.
