What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain Despite Using Medication?

Hello about two weeks ago, after an abdominal scan I was told there was mild fluid in my pouch of Douglas. And I was given some medication. However, after the treatment I still feel the lower abdominal pain. And now even when I cough, I feel the pain. Is it possible it s gotten worse?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, it is possible that fluid is increased and get worse.
You are not improving evenly after taking medications.
So better to get done repeat scan. If fluid is increased then diagnostic laparoscopy should be done to identify the cause for this fluid collection.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
