What Causes Lower Abdominal And Back Pain After Tubal Ligation?
I am 2 weeks late for my period and been having some bad cramping in my lower stomach and bad pain in my lower back. I am having a little bit of brown discharge/blood. I had a tubal ligation a year ago so I m not pregnant. I tried to make an appointment with my doctor but they are booked for a few weeks. Can you tell me what could be wrong?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Pregnancy and related complications in your case can be eliminated. However the cause may not be related to your surgery. Other possible causes of your symptoms may include: -Gynecological problems like: a pelvic inflammatory disease/or STI, adnomyosis, endometriosis, ovarian cyst, uterine fibroids... -Non-gynecological problems like: digestive disorders, UTI You will however need medical evaluation to know the exact cause. If your Doctor is not available now, i will suggest you see another Doctor or GP for evaluation and work-ups.You will need test like a cervical swap smear/Other STI tests, urinalysis, stool exam and if need be, a pelvic ultrasound. You take a pain medication like ibuprofen if pain intense while waiting for an etiologic management. Hope this will help you Regards
