What Causes Low Level Of Lymphocytes In Blood?

Today i had blood test done and i noticed that my limph % is lower than normal range lymphocytes us 17.60.Everything else is in range? I have never involved in type sexual or any type of drug activities.i m still a virgin Having a cold while i had test.

Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell. They are not interpreted on their own but along with the total white cell count.

They are used , along with the other types of white blood cells (neutrophils,eosinophils, basophils, monocytes), when the total white cell count is high.

It would then be used to help figure out the type of infection present.

If your total white cell count is normal then the breakdown , including the lymphocytes , is not significant.
A low lymphocytes also does not indicate infection, infections affecting lymphocytes, would cause an increase.
