What Causes Low Grade Fever, Cold And Bumps On Legs And Arms Of A Toddler?
Hi, I have a 15 month old son who has been having a low grade fever, very congested, runny/stuffy nose slight cough at night for the past 4 days. Today he has developed little bumps on his legs and arms (non itchy). Is this a common cold? He also has had eczema and allergies since he was born.
Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. Yes it is allergic rhinitis with allergic eruption of lesions on legs and arms. In children it has association with eczema, asthma and cystic fibrosis. All that you have to do is to keep it away from allergins like dust mites, cockroaches, dander, dust and pollens. Use to instill saline nasal drops in his nostrils.Other things are decongestant, intranasal antihistamines and steroids. Immunotherapy is the best option if above therapy failed. Hope it helps best.
