What Causes Low Grade Fever Along With Headache And Pain In The Eyes?

I am getting mild fever in range of 99-102 F for last 4 days. In day time usually fever is very mild but during night it increases. Time and again headache and eyes pain also starts. For initial three days I was taking Almox 500 and Calpol but today Dr. has prescribed Ceftas 400, Sumo and Dolo 650. Plz suggest what type of fever it is. I am not having weakness or bodyache or lack of appetite.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are having acute upper respiratory tract infection

It could be viral in nature as per presentation

As improvement not seen, it can be bacterial and so antibiotic started for that...

Complete course of prescribed drug... If I am not wrong ceftas might content any of the cefixime group drug

Investigation needed as follow...
_CBC
_throat swab
_ASO titre

According to my opinion CBC should be done first, because if eosinophila present then specific antiallergic medication course useful

Steam inhalation done three times a day

Vitamin C lozenges can be taken

Take one tsp turmeric powder with milk daily
