What Causes Low WBC Count And Excessive Sweating?

My mom is 82. She has been having a low white blood cell count and irregular shaped red blood cells. In the past week and a half, she has 3 spellls of sudden extreme sweating, low blood pressure/pulse, extreme weakness including shaking legs making her unable to walk, followed about 30 minutes later of extreme exhaustion and chills, not being able to warm up for at least an hour. She refused to go to the ER, said she just needed to go to bed and rest. Do you think that it is ok NOT to insist that she goes to th er?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Over all symptoms may be suggestive of viral infection, or may be due to some general weakness but not seems to be due to any dangerous clinical condition, it may be some geriatric symptoms and it can be age related but may not due to any serious condition, still she has to be kept under medical supervision, because viral infection can not be under estimated in this age, it is not time to see the ER.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
