What Causes Low TSH Levels?

I have a pt whose TSH is tanking (0.07) and don t know why. She has been taking Nature thyroid 97.5 mg daily. She came into see me the end of last week for lab f/u. Her TSH at that time was 0.167. I had her stop her thyroid med for a day and then restart. She was just seen in ED d/t Tremors and shakiness yesterday, TSH was 0.07. Not sure what is going on. Her Cymbalta was increased in dose recently and she is taking gabapentin 800 mg tid. Any ideas?

Hi,

If at the time of start of thyroid her TSH was very high, then please half her dosage of thyroid medicine.

Then recheck TSH level from the same lab and at the same time of day after one month, then compare with present level. If she was hypothyroid at the start of thyroid therapy, the usual dosage is 1.5 micrograms per kg body weight.
