What Causes Lightheadedness And Rapid Heart Rate Upon Leaning Down And Standing?
Hi, I ve been experiencing lightheadedness and rapid heart rate upon leaning down & standing now I m also feeling nauseous throughout the day. I m not pregnant and I m not dehydrated. My blood pressure is slightly low but not enough to cause the constant dizziness. I do have an appointment with my cardiologist coming up,I m wondering if the flecanide is all the sudden too strong. That would be odd though,I ve taken the same dose for a few years. I ve had lab work & an EKG and all were normal. I m at a loss why all the sudden I feel tired, nauseous & I can t lean over or bend down without getting a headache or blacking out! Dustyna

Hello,
Since you have been taking Flecanide since a few years, you should have mentioned here about your past illness. Flecanide is an anti-arrhythmic medication & if you are getting fatigue, light headedness etc even after taking it; it is indicative of some developing CAD( AF, Ischemia, Syncope, etc).
You are suggested to avoid stress, anxiety & quit smoking, alcohol or addictions if any. Take home made food in Olive oil. Avoid oily, junk food & sedentary lifestyle. Get clinically assessed by a cardiologist, get all the cardiac & Imaging tests done at the earliest.

The symptoms seem to be related to orthostatic hypo tension. Orthostatic hypo tension, also known as postural hypo tension, occurs when the blood pressure falls when suddenly standing up from a lying or sitting position. I suggest to measure the blood pressure in both positions to confirm the diagnosis. Meanwhile,I suggest using compression stockings and drinking liquids.
