What Causes Light Yellow Colored Stool?

Hi. For the last couple of days my stool has been light yellow. One week ago I decided to quit drinking diet sodas because I've read that they are quite toxic to the body. The only other thing that's changed about my diet is that I've been adding ground flax seed to my salads, The flax seed is yellow. I'm wondering if this is the cause of the change in color of my stool, or if something else is going on. Otherwise, I feel fine.

Hello,

Bilirubin concentration can vary the color of the stool from light yellow to almost black. Changes in the chemical structure of the bilirubin can cause stool to turn green or yellow. Yellow stool also may occur if the stool is dilute or there is a reduction in the amount of bilirubin that is produced by the liver.

If you're don't have any symptoms then nothing to worry, if your suffering from pain abdomen or blood or mucus in stools, then you need to consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
