What Causes Leg Cramps In A Heart Patient?

My mother is 85yrs old.. about a year ago she had heart surgery, having two stem put in front artery and a aortic valve replacement, her surgery was successful. However, she has been on blood thinners ever since, she also a diabetic type 2,taking Metformin 500mg-(twice a day), Escitalopram Oxalate 20mg-Plavix 75mg,Carvedilol 25 mg (2 Times a day), for the past two days she has been complaining of leg cramping. About two weeks ago she was complaining a sharp abdominal pain, then her doctor proscribed her an antibiotic (ciprofloxacin) every 12hrs. I noticed one of the side effect says it could damage the tendinitis ? What can I do?
