What Causes Left-sided Severe Electric Shock Like Pain In Right Knee?

Severe pain in left side of right knee adjacent to patella, no swelling or known trauma. Pain feels similar to an electric shock, very painful. kind of feels like a cramp and simultanious electric shock. pain subsides after about 15 minutes and happens about every month or two. thanks, Gary

Electric shock like pain is a symptom of sciatica, it is better to do a MRI SCAN of the lumbosacral spine .
