Hi,
1. As a rule of thumb: numbness in half side warrants exclusion of STROKE [mini stroke], so check with a medicine specialist or consult an orthopedic Specialist to exclude Buerger's disease OR
Neurologist for the relevant examination [neurological examination for Neuropathy] and Investigation [CT-Brain].
2. because when a person gives up tobacco addiction either they are either
withdrawal symptoms, or the anxiety associated with
nicotine withdrawal or suddenly the blood vessels open up causing increased blood flow:
- to the brain resulting in headaches
- toes and fingers: gives the feeling of numbness/
tingling sensation, and when the person again starts with the addiction, the blood vessels contract causing reduced blood flow and diminished signs and symptoms.
3. In any case/ cause you should seek an opinion of Doctor for
medical Advice and only thereafter act accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Munish Sood, Ayurveda Specialist
